Welcome to Powerlifting 101!
Over a span of 6 weeks we will be launching the first waves into the fundamentals of powerlifting, helping athletes learn how to taper their strength endurance into maximal strength, and power.
Using the three primary lifts known as the squat, bench press, and deadlift to use as a tool and to test one's abilities, training blocks will be two, 3 week waves to teach our bodies how to taper our strength.
As time goes on, the training blocks will become longer. We will dive deeper into specifics, and how to break through sticking points. To begin we are going to have fun, lift some heavy weight, and break through any mental/physical barriers preventing one from tapping into one’s power.
The workouts will consist of deliberate warmup to prepare for each lift. Moving on we will
jump into percentile weight selections. We will cap off each workout with accessory work
tailored to accent the 3 lifts in order to improve our performance for the following week.
Don’t expect much cardio other than high reps schemes to begin the wave of each training block.
